This model, with its network options has been designed primarily for workgroups of around 15 users. It also has a high yield toner cartridge and offers the option of PostScript language for those producing graphics work and desktop publishing.

The B4600 mono printers are easy to install and use, thanks to Plug & Play capability and all the free in-box utilities. Among these is Ask OKI, a dedicated online support tool accessed easily via the printer driver, and Template Manager 2006 which provides the templates to print essential business items. The printers benefit from OKI Printing Solutions’ Simple, Solid & Smart design philosophy. They feature single-pass digital LED technology printing, which minimises the need for user intervention and maintains the workflow. The LCD panel further simplifies user operation.

They can support different paper types, allowing different tasks to be carried out. Additional paper trays are available to add flexibility. 11 types of embedded barcodes come as standard, allowing the user to create custom bar codes when they need them, where they need them. They are also SAP R/3 compatible – assisting the printing of formatted work such as tender documents.

Among the utilities provided free in the box are several devoted to assisting network set-up and administration. One of these, PrintSuperVision allows network administrators, for example to check and monitor consumables usage and verify toner status for all business printers in the office.
