Prints on the spot - You don’t even need a computer to start printing. Slot a memory card* into the printer, select a picture, and you’re ready to go. Alternatively, print directly from any PictBridge or Canon Direct Print compatible device, including cameras and camcorders.

Large LCD screen - A bright, angled 2.5 inch LCD screen and improved user interface – now with support for 7 languages - provides a user-friendly way to select, preview and print images from memory card, or change print settings in seconds.

Better people shots, automatically - When printing from memory card, a special Image Optimize feature automatically detects faces in photographs – then corrects their brightness for superb, natural-looking results. Backgrounds are optimised separately to deliver the best possible prints. Also included is a Red Eye Correction feature, which lets you remove red-eye quickly and easily without the need for a computer.

Instantly dry coating - A special coating ensures that prints are dry to the touch from the instant they finish printing – and immediately protected from splashes, spills and sticky fingers.

Print samples are printed with the optical density of 1.0 (each Bk, C, M,Y). The samples are kept in a certain environment of high temperature and 50% humidity. The rate of the decrease in the optical density and rate of yellow discoloration are recorded. The recorded results are then converted to the length of time when print image is kept in an environment of 23°C/ 50% humidity.
